Lady Eagles Ready for the Lady Leopards

Argyle Lady Eagles maintained their quest for the 8-3A playoffs.  The Eagles defeated Gainesville 6-0 on Tuesday.  Chandler Hamilton shutout the lady leopards from Gainesville in seven innings.  She gave only allowed two hits earning her sixth win for the season.  Chandler made quick work of the lady leopards by walking no one and throwing only 59 strikes in 79 pitches.

Hamilton and Erin Leamon also led the eagles offense with two hits each in the game.  Kristen Armstrong scored the first and ultimate go ahead run in the first inning.  Kristen slapped a single to left and scored on hits from Laura Carr and Taylor Petrick.  Carr, Petrick, Leamon and Emily Mooney (pinch running for Leamon) each added a run in the Argyle Lady Eagle victory.  Brittany O'Brien added a single and drove in a run in the victory.

The Eagles had only one error in the game.  Solid defensive play from our infield has continued assisting the Eagles in their quest for the playoffs.  Kristen Armstrong continues as the leader for the outfield for the Eagles helping run down many of the fly balls that comes her way.
