The Argyle Lady Eagles are one match away from completing an undefeated season in District 8-3A play after beating Decatur on Saturday. But before we get to that game, let's catch up on the other games we missed.

The Lady Eagles traveled to Sanger on Oct. 6th to get a sweep, winning the match 25-16, 25-10, 25-21. They then came home to play Gainesville on Oct. 9th on a night where the senior players, JoJo Fletcher, Bradleigh Lowry, Kirstie Wade, Sarah Meeks, Kayla Massey, Ashlyn Leenhouts, Taylor Miller, and Leah Woodson were recognized before the game. The Lady Eagles had a tough time with the Lady Leopards in the first 2 games, in game 2  they trailed by as many as 6 points and were behind almost the whole game. But Argyle hung in there, accomplished the come-back win and was still able to make the sweep, winning 25-23, 28-26, 25-15.

The Lady Eagles' next opponent was the Bowie Lady Jackrabbits on Oct. 13th. After winning game 1 by the score of 25-15,the Lady Eagles allowed the Lady Jackrabbits to win game two, 28-30. Bowie kept up the pressure in game 3 before the Lady Eagles were able to pull away late and win the game 25-22. Argyle rolled on to win game four, 25-14 to win the match. The win allowed our Lady Eagles to clinch First Place in the District with 3 games to go. The Lady Eagles then traveled to Bridgeport Oct. 16th where they earned another sweep 25-22, 27-25, 25-23.

The Argyle Lady Eagles met the Decatur Lady Eagles Saturday 10/20 in their last home match of the season. Decatur, who is trying to hold on to 2nd place in the District came out strong and took the first game 19-25. Argyle's Lady Eagles toughened up, turned up the offense and took control of the match, winning the next three straight 25-15, 25-17 and 25-17. BIg hits from Bailey O'Brien, Kirstie Wade and JoJo Fletcher paced the offense and Jessica Bonfield and O'Brien made it tough on Decatur's hitters with great blocking at the net. Lady Eagles improved to  25-8 overall and 13-0 in District with one remaining District game to play, Tuesday at 6:30 in Whitesboro.
