Argyle sweeps Pilot Point

The Lady Eagles continued to show why they are the best in District 8-3A on Tuesday night with a sweep of Pilot Point 25-17, 25-11, 25-21. They improved their overall record to 20-8 and are 8-0 in district play.
The first game began very close with both teams exchanging leads early, but with the score at 11-11 the Lady Eagles began to pull away from the Lady Cats to secure the win. The second game was all Argyle, who got off to a early 6-1 lead and cruised to a easy win. The Lady Cats came on strong in game three and played well to tie the game at 19. But the Lady Eagles proved to be too much for Pilot Point and rallied to win the match.
The Lady Eagles dominated the match with their defensive presence at the net, blocking many of the kill attempts by their opponent's hitters. The Lady Eagles were led by Bailey O'Brien with 9 kills and 9 blocks, Jessica Bonfield with 26 assists and libero Bradleigh Lowery with 16 digs.
Argyle will travel to Sanger on Friday night for their next match.
