Thursday night the JV Eagles suffered their first loss. It came down to the wire, but the young men came up short. The Eagles offensive stats are as follows: Total offense 234 yds,  receiving yds 91, Rushing yds 143. Scotty Seiber led all rushers with 51 yds. Lance Sutton led all receivers with 75 yds. Chad Hedlund had a 50 yd scramble at the end of the game to set up a try for a game winning field goal of 47 yds. Chad’s kick was right on line, but fell about ½ yd short.

 

On the defensive side of the ball, Joe Durham led all Eagles with 9 solo tackles. The JV secondary did a good job knocking passes down. Dran Crenshaw and Scotty Stewart both had two, while Taylor Dierke, Kevin Ryon, Aaron Cullen and Jake Meeks each had 1. Blake Dunham had, for the second week, a knocked down pass and a batted ball. He also had a fumble recovery with a return of 60 yds.
