The 07-08 8th grade team dominates competitions for second straight year and ends Middle School as having never lost a game.

The 8th grade A team won the Ponder tournament held at Ponder High School on December 8, 2007. The A division was a round robin type event with the Eagles dominating every opponent.

The first game was against district rival Sanger. Clarke Overlander and Chad Bossow were the top scorers as the Eagles cruised to a 54-22 victory.

Next up, the host Ponder Lions. This game was close early, with Argyle pulling away with its deep and talented roster 58-32. Chad Bossow led the scoring with 16 points.

Saturday morning's contest was against Denton McMath. The Eagles raced out to a 20-6 lead after the first quarter, and never looked back. For the bulk of the game McMath had only one field goal and the majority of their points came from free throws. McMath finally managed a second field goal late in the third. Overlander led the Eagles in scoring with 15.The final Argyle 62, McMath 13.

The final game pitted the Eagles against the Leonard Tigers. The Eagles defense was relentless and the scoring came in bunches. Argyle led at the half, 45-8. The Eagles entire team scored with Chad Bossow leading the charge with 13. Argyle dominates 75-20 to conclude the tournament 4-0.
