2007 7th grade football

7th grade B vs. Ponder

7th grade B team football vs. Ponder Lions

On Sept. 20th the 7th grade B footabll team played the Ponder Lions.  Although, the team suffered a loss of
32 - 0, there were many standouts in the game.  The Eagles started a strong offense led by quarterback # 11 Austin Stoops. 

Several passes and pass attempts were thrown to # 20 John Michael Davis, # 8 Dean Eddy, # 83 Grayson Stinson and # 84 Ethan Ysbrand.  The running game saw much improvement over the week before with # 33 Garrett Scott leading the running attack. 

The defense also was much more aggressive and stronger in their tackling.  The defense was led by several good tackles by # 67Brian Kanzaki, # 8 Dean Eddy, # 72 Gilbert Wisseman, and # 35 Peter Mayfield.  Though the team was defeated by the Lions, progress is being made on both sides of the ball.

7th grade B team skunks Sanger


7th grade B team showed great improvement in their game with a win over the Sanger Indians 12-0.  The offense was led by quarterback #11 Austin Stoops.  The receiving team made great strides with the help of #84 Ethan Wysbrand, #8 Dean Eddy, #83 Grayson Stinson, and # 20 John Michael Davis.  The first touchdown was made by #11 Austin Stoops with great blocking led by the offensive line of #61 Conner James, #67 Brian Kansaki, #54 Cullen Burkett.  The second touchdown was made by #20 John Michael Davis on an end around.  The defense shut out Sanger with excellent tackling from #83 Grayson Stinson, #54Cullen Burkett, #84 Ethan Wysbrand, #8 Dean Eddy,  #67 Brian Kansaki, #51 Garrett Hamm, and #33 Steven Scott.  Confidence soared as the team took their first victory.

7th grade B team district schedule is off to a slow start

With a 30-0 loss to the Bowie Jackrabbits, the 7th grade B team is showing signs of improvement.   Quarterback #11 Austin Stoops led the offense and completed 6 passes to a variety of receivers which included #83 Grayson Stinson, #20 John Michael Davis, #8 Dean Eddy, and #84 Ethan Ysbrand.  The running game was led by #33Garrett Scott.  The defensive line consisting of #71Hunter Lenamon, #35 Peter Mayfield, #61 Conner James, #54 Cullen Burkett, and #66 William Mastrodones are showing signs of aggression.  The defensive backs did see a spark as #8 Dean Eddy made an interception.  Coach Pitts said " We need to get rid of arm tackles, but we are better than we were.  We are making progress."   

7th Grade B blanks Bridgeport

The 7th grade B team continues their improvement with a win over Bridgeport 8- 0.  Quarterback Austin Stoops led the offense and completed several passes to a variety of receivers which included #83 Grayson Stinson, #20 John Michael Davis, #8 Dean Eddy, and #84 Ethan Ysbrand.  The defensive line made up of #71 Hunter Lenamon, #61 Connor James, #67 Brian Kansaki, and #50 Alvaro Quintanilla also continues to show agression.  The winning touchdown came in the 2nd quarter by #86 Cullen Patterson, with #33 Garrett Scott bringing home 2 more points.  The play of the game came at the end when an open field tackle was made by #8 Dean Eddy with no time left to stop Bridgeport from scoring.  Keep up the great work!!!!
