The class 3A all-state football team was announced today and it includes three Eagles who had outstanding seasons. Quarterback JJ Harp was selected on the second team in recognition of his record-breaking season where he threw for more than 3500 yards and 35 touchdowns. Junior receiver Brady Brown was also selected as a 2nd team all-state receiver as he caught nearly 100 balls for more than 20 touchdowns. Senior receiver Matt Handler earned honorable mention honors for his outstanding season and ability to make the clutch catches that helped the Eagles in their playoff run.
The class 3A academic all-state football team was announced today and the Eagles have six players named to the team. Congratulations to the following young men for their outstanding accomplishment in the classroom this year: Elite team - Robbie Ehlers Second team - Gavin Pucciarello and Ross Slough Honorable Mention - Trevor Cantrell, Justin McGuffey, and Ben Parks Excellence starts in the classroom and extends to the playing field and these Eagles certainly demonstrated that!
