Argyle Athletics Booster Club, Argyle H.S. TX

The Argyle Lady Eagles defeated Hidalgo 58-43 on Thursday to advance to the 3A state championship.  The Lady Eagles will take on the Robinson Lady Rockets on Saturday at 10AM.

All Eagle fans are encouraged to attend this STATE CHAMPIONSHIP game at the Frank Irwin center on the Univeristy of Texas campus.

The game will also be broadcast live in partnership with Millennium Sports.  Pregame show starts at 9:50AM on Saturday. Click here for the broadcast.

Toward a chosen path
Delighted to find that however fleeting….it is shared by others
And a band of angels comes together
On the wings of an eagle……
Wings wrapped around each other
Each one as important as the angel by their side
Encountering what they dared to dream
Hearts holding steadfast to one another
Catapulted by one pulse toward glory…..
Through their determination we shed our tears
On their strength we fly among them
Touching the limits of the sky we have longed for them
On the wings of our angels we soar like eagles…..
Still your heart and lift your voices….
Hold your tongue and steel your nerves
Their pink of youth’s grown bolder ….
Their blood’s now black and red
Close your eyes and recall your tiny angel….in your mind’s eye…
But only for awhile…
Then raise your chin and smile……..a Lady Eagle’s passing by…….

Argyle standout athlete Jessica Bonfield and Coach Steve Schmidt were recognized at the Greater Denton Sports Commission Annual Banquet on Monday, May 18th.

Coach Schmidt was named High School Girl's Coach of the Year. Jessica was named as 1st runner up Female Athlete of the Year and received a college scholarship.

Jessica was a member of the volleyball, basketball and track teams at Argyle. She will attend Texas A&M University and compete as a pole vaulter.

The awards are significant in that it included all 21 high schools in Denton County.
