Argyle Athletics Booster Club, Argyle H.S. TX

This past weekend the Argyle boys and girls' track & field teams traveled to Texas A&M Commerce to compete in the 3A Region II meet. Previously scheduled for May 1-2, the meet was rescheduled by UIL after delaying due to the swine flu situation.

The girls' team won the Region Team Championship Title scoring 83 points, beating Texarkana Liberty Eylau by 2 points. The team title came down to the final race, the 4x400 relay, with Argyle coming in down by 6 points to Liberty Eylau. In order for the girls' team to win the team title, Argyle had to place 1st and Liberty Eylau 3rd in the relay. The 4x400 relay took 1st place and securing the team title.

The boys' team also took the 3A Region II team title scoring 78 points. Same as the girls' team, the boys' title came down to the final races as well. Argyle pulled away led by the 1600m runners' performance and the finish of the 4x400m relay.
